• Our History

Throughout the world, ancient forest is in crisis. Many plants and animals that live in these forests face extinction. A lot of people who depend on these forests for their living is also under threat. However, there is still a chance to protect these forests.

The world’s ancient forests is truly diverse. It secures the precious richness of the earth, which includes boreal, temperate, tropical forests, coniferous, broadleaf forests, rainforests and mangroves.

Together it maintains environmental systems that is essential for our life. They influence weather by controlling rainfall and evaporation of water from the soil. It helps stabilise the world’s climate by storing large amounts of carbon that would otherwise contribute to climate change.

These forests also a living place for around two-thirds of the world’s land-based species of plants and animals. That’s hundreds of thousands of different plants and animals, and literally millions of insects. These magnificent ancient forests are in danger. More than 87 human cultures have been lost in Brazil alone; in the next 10 to 20 years, the world looks set to lose thousands of species of plants and animals.

Indonesia is one of the main source of biodiversity, with many acres of tropical ancient forests in our islands. It is our duty to take a good care of our forests.

PT Multi Indowood is a fast-growing company in wood harvesting and logging founded in the year 2006. In the beginning, PT Accasia Nusantara Indah produced only raw wood material. However, as the time goes by, we found out the global market prefer finished furniture and products; such as house component and wood flooring better compare to the raw wood material. Therefore, we try our best to fulfil the needs and demands of our worldwide customers, by producing many kind of furniture designs and housing component.

With greater conscience and consideration on preventing forest damage, we only concentrate with plantationable wood from plantable forest, and stop harvesting wood from natural forest.

As a woodworking company, we are concern about preventing forest damage and taking care of this world, so that our children will have their playground and their future.
